Ślōka 19.

ಅಗಮ್ಯ-ಮಹಿಮಾ ಲೋಕೇ ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರೋ ಮಹಾ-ಯಶಾಃ |

ಶ್ರೀ-ಮಧ್ವ-ಮತ-ದುಗ್ಧಾಬ್ಧಿ-ಚಂದ್ರೋऽವತು ಸದಾऽನಘಃ ||೧೯||

अगम्य-महिमा लोके राघवेन्द्रो महा-यशाः ।

श्री-मध्व-मत-दुग्धाब्धि चन्द्रोऽवतु सदाऽनघः ॥१९॥

agamya-mahimā lōkē rāghavēndrō mahā-yaśāḥ |
śrī-madhva-mata-dugdhābdhi-candrōvatu sadānaghaḥ ||19||

ಅಗಮ್ಯಮಹಿಮಾ, ಲೋಕೇ, ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರಃ, ಮಹಾಯಶಾಃ, ಶ್ರೀಮಧ್ವಮತದುಗ್ಧಾಬ್ಧಿಚಂದ್ರಃ, ಅವತು, ಸದಾ, ಅನಘಃ.

अगम्यमहिमा(agamyamahimā), लोके(lōkē), राघवेंद्रः (rāghavēndraḥ), महायशाः(mahāyaśāḥ), श्रीमध्वमतदुग्धाब्धिचंद्रः(śrīmadhvamatadugdhābdhicandraḥ), अवतु(avatu), सदा(sadā), अनघः(anaghaḥ).

ಅನ್ವಯಾರ್ಥ:

ಲೋಕೇ – ಈ ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ, (ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಜನರಿಗೆ) ಅಗಮ್ಯಮಹಿಮಾ – ತಿಳಿಯಲಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದ ಮಹಿಮೆಯುಳ್ಳ, ಮಹಾ ಯಶಾಃ – ದಿಕ್ಕು ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಡಿದ ಕೀರ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳ, ಶ್ರೀಮಧ್ವಮತದುಗ್ಧಾಬ್ಧಿಚಂದ್ರಃ- ಶ್ರೀಮಧ್ವಮತ – ಶ್ರೀಮನ್ಮಧ್ವಾಚಾರ್ಯರ ತತ್ವವಾದಮತವೆಂಬ, ದುಗ್ದಾಬ್ಧಿ – ಹಾಲ್ಗಡಲಿಗೆ, ಚಂದ್ರಃ – ಚಂದ್ರನಂತಿರುವ, ಅನಘಃ -ಪಾಪರಹಿತರಾದ, ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರಃ – ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರರು, ಸದಾ – ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ, ಅವತು – ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲಿ. 

Synonyms:

लोके(lōkē) – in this world(concerning common people), अगम्यमहिमा(agamyamahimā)- greatness beyond comprehension, महायशाः(mahāyaśāḥ) – fame that has spread across, in all directions, श्रीमध्वमतदुग्धाब्धिचंद्रः(śrīmadhvamatadugdhābdhicandraḥ) – श्रीमध्वमत(śrīmadhvamata) – pertaining to Ācārya Madhva’s Tattva Vāda, दुग्धाब्धि(dugdhābdhi) – ocean of milk, चंद्रः(candraḥ) – moon like, राघवेंद्रः (rāghavēndraḥ)- Śrī Rāghavēndraru, अनघः(anaghaḥ) – the sinless one, सदा(sadā) – at all times, अवतु(avatu) – may he protect.

ತಾತ್ಪರ್ಯ:

ಶ್ರೀ ಗುರುರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರರ ಖ್ಯಾತಿ ದೇಶವಿದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹರಡಿ ಮನೆಮಾತಾಗಿರುವಂಥದ್ದು. ಬಹುಶಃ, ಇಂದಿಗೆ ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರರ ಹಾಗೆ ಜಾತಿ ಮತ ಭೇದವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಸರ್ವ ಜನಸಾಮಾನ್ಯರಿಂದಲೂ ಪೂಜ್ಯರಾದ ಯತಿಗಳು ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಸಿಗುವುದು ಕಷ್ಟ. ಯೇಕೆಂದರೆ ರಾಯರಂಥ ಮಹಾಮಹಿಮರು ಕೇವಲ ಒಂದು ಮತಕ್ಕೆ ಅಥವಾ ಮಠಕ್ಕೆ ಸೀಮಿತರಾದವರಲ್ಲ. ಬದಲಿಗೆ ಸಕಲ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಮಾತ್ರರಿಗೂ ಬೇಕಾದವರು. ತಮ್ಮ ತಪಸ್ಸನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ  ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಒಳಿತಿಗಾಗಿ ಧಾರೆಯೆರೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವವರು. 

ಭಗವಂತನ ಆವಾಸವಾದ ಕ್ಷೀರಸಾಗರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಚಂದ್ರನಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಕಲೆಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲವಂತೆ, ಮತ್ತು ಆ ಚಂದ್ರ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಮುಳುಗುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲವಂತೆ. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಮಧ್ವರ ಸತ್ ಸಿದ್ಧಾಂತವೆಂಬ ಹಾಲಿನ ಸಮುದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಂದ್ರನಂತೆ ಶೋಭಿಸುವ ರಾಯರೂ ಕೂಡ ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಶೋಭಿಸುತ್ತಲೇ ಇರುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಈ ತತ್ತ್ವವಾದದ ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಖ್ಯಾತಿಗೆ ಅಸ್ತವೆಂಬುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.

ಅವರ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಯುವುದು ಜನಸಾಮಾನ್ಯರಿಂದಂತೂ ಸಾಧ್ಯವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಸಾಗರದ ನೀರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಮನೆಗೆ ತರಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯ್ಯಲ್ಲಾದಷ್ಟು ನಮ್ಮ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಡಿಯುವಷ್ಟನ್ನಾದರೂ ಹೇಗೆ ತರಬಲ್ಲೆವೋ ಹಾಗೆ, ರಾಯರ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಕೂಡ ನಮ್ಮ ಯೋಗ್ಯತೆಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಷ್ಟು, ನಮ್ಮ ಹೃತ್ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಡಿಯುವಷ್ಟಾದರೂ  ಗ್ರಹಿಸಬಹುದು. ಅಂತಃ ಮಹಾ ಮಹಿಮರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಗುರುರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಕಪಾಡಲಿ ಎಂಬುದು ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕದ ಭಾವ.

Tātparya:

That the greatness of Śrī Guru Rāghavēndraru has spread globally and is a commonly known everywhere. It is difficult to trace another ascetic like Śrī Rāghavēndraru, who is revered by all sections of people, who never differentiated between caste and creed. This is because, the following of a great person like Rayaru is not limited to one creed or Maṭha(monastic denomination). Instead, he is wanted by all living beings, not just humans. He is one who dedicated all his penances for the betterment of the world. It is said that candra(the divine moon), who resides in the ocean of milk that is the Lord’s abode, has no blemishes and also, that candra would never set or sink. Likewise, Rayaru who is glorious as candra, in the ocean of milk which is the sat’siddhanta of Ācārya Madhva, will remain glorious for ever and in that, in the world of Tattva Vāda, his reputation would never set or fade.

Common people would find it hard to comprehend his greatness. Just as it is impossible to carry or fill into our receptacle the whole water in an ocean, but instead, we would be able to carry with us handfuls of it or maybe even fill our pitchers or containers to the brim with its water, our comprehension of Rayaru’s greatness too would be limited to the extent of our innate capacities or to the extent our hearts would allow us to fill in, to its content. May such Śrī Guru Rāghavēndraru protect us always, is implied in this ślōka.
